On the 30th of June on a dry and sometimes sunny afternoon the club held the final of our first tennis tournament – The Wright Cup.
This is a mixed doubles event and this year it was won by Michelle McCool and Sorley Macdonald who beat Sybil Booth and Douglas Walker in what was a very close match. The score was 7-5, 1-6 10-8 ( in the championship tie break)
Thank you to all who stayed on after the American tournament to watch the final and support the players.
Well done to all the finalists and to Matty Douglas for organising the tournament and the pairings.
